GLENDALE, CA – (January 19, 2012) – Verdugo Hills Hospital (VHH) received a $92,000 donation from the VHH Foundation’s Women’s Council during a recent luncheon celebration at the Hospital. The funds raised will help upgrade an X-Ray room and will assist with the purchase of a Bipap Vision Ventilating System.
Also during the event, VHH Foundation President, Yulanda Davis-Quarrie, crowned the Women’s Council’s 2012 Board of Directors, and thanked all members past and present for their continuous fund-raising and friend-raising efforts for VHH, including their most recent successful Poinsettia Ball Fundraiser.
Betty Hurn was announced as the new Chair of the Women’s Council and has been a member for nine years. She was also Chair for 18 months in 2006 and 2007.
“The Women’s Council is in the process of planning for this year,” said Hurn. “I can say that we will continue our popular fund-raisers such as our popular Bingo and fashion show events that will be held in the spring of this year.”
